Don't forget.... Any time school is closed or there is no school, practice is cancelled.

Summer Training
Submitted by sdbanks on Wed, 2011-06-15 15:01RAW has partnered with the SPA in order to provide summer wrestling to its wrestlers interested in making the 2013 Canada Games.
In order to take advantage of this offer, wrestlers will have to purchase a summer membership to the SPA for $140.00. This gives them full access to the SPA including the swimming pool.

2011 Atlantic Championships Results
Submitted by sdbanks on Tue, 2011-03-22 12:24RAW Wrestlers competed successfully at the Atlantic Wrestling Championships over the weekend.
On the female side Lorena Ellis, captured the Gold in the womens <65Kg., winning by pins in every match. Hillary Jones also placed first in the <38Kg..
On the mens side, Travis Cummiskey marked his return to wrestling after several years, by capturing the Gold medal in the <92Kg. and Iain Spencer Burhoe won a silver medal in the <65Kg. weight category. This was Iain’s very first competition ever in wrestling.
Practice Cancelled - on Wednesday, February 9th due to school meeting

Congratulations Hillary and Spencer
Submitted by sdbanks on Mon, 2010-11-29 09:47Hillary Jones and Spencer Younker competed in the 2010 Quebec Open over the weekend. Hillary won a gold medal and Spencer placed fifth in their categories.
On Sunday after the tournament, we had a chance to train at the Montreal Wrestling club. Victor Zibberman, an international coach, had his coaches work with the Hillary and Spencer, showing them variations on several moves.
Strength Training for Kids

"...a major new review just published in Pediatrics, together with a growing body of other scientific reports, suggest that, in fact, weight training can be not only safe for young people, it can also be beneficial, even essential....".

NCCP Coach training completed by RAW Coaches
